Dr. Umidi, Biography
Over the past twenty- seven years Joseph has enjoyed several pastoral and church planting leadership seasons while coaching emerging leaders into their calling. As professor at Regent Divinity School and senior overseer and coach to a multiple campus church planting movement in Virginia Beach, he has written several manuals and books on prayer, leadership coaching, and ministry matching; the latest being TRANSFORMATIONAL COACHING from Xulon Press, 2005. He and his wife Marie have launched an international gospel arts ministry, The Man Called Jesus-TMCJ (www.theplay.net) training the next generation of Christian artists to take the gospel to the unreached. Dr. Umidi has also developed a certification training strategy for a Christian coaching movement, Transformational Leadership Coaching, which is multiplying emerging leaders to help bring others into their destiny in this generation. Joseph is on the apostolic team of Vanguard Ministries (www.vanguardministries.org) a relational movement of ministry, business, and arts leaders who are impacting their professions. He holds a Doctor of Ministry degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Dr. Umidi and his wife, Marie, have one married son and two grandchild.
