The Meadows community, which is currently under development on the Three Hills property, consists of homes built by individuals and small organizations who share GDI's vision for ministering to Kingdom-minded leaders in business, the church, the arts, government, and other spheres of society. Taken by Bath County's rural charm, visitors to Three Hills are often surprised to find these pieces of history and culture nearby: The
Jefferson
Pools, natural hot springs used by Thomas Jefferson, are located
within walking distance of the GDI property. Garth Newel, a small but nationally known classical music venue, is several miles down the road. The Homestead Resort, one of the nation's oldest and most prestigious resorts, is located five miles from Three Hills in the village of Hot Springs. The Homestead offers a variety of activities which are open the public including mountain biking, skiing, and ice skating. The presence of this premier resort insures that there are always several unique, high-quality restaurants operating in the county. Several local lakes are open for swimming and fishing. A waterfall and many stunning views are located within half an hour of Three Hills. Two historic towns, Staunton and Charlottesville (home to Jefferson's Monticello), are within a two hour drive of Three Hills. |
