Rates for housing at Three Hills for leaders in transition are also available villasupon request, and vary depending on a number of factors. GDI's goal is for finances not be an obstacle to transitioning leaders in need of time at Three Hills.

Rates for on-site retreats, seminars, and network gatherings vary depending on the nature of the event, the type of housing included, etc.

Rates for apostolic oversight for partner organizations are based on a specified percentage of the organization's income with an annual cap.

From time to time GDI invests sacrificially in individual leaders or organizations by doing consultation at reduced rates or by making facilities or materials available at a discount. In choosing when to invest sacrificially, GDI considers the following factors:

- The leadership sphere and function of the leader. GDI gives priority to larger sphere leaders whose decisions and lives have a wide impact. Emerging leaders that are showing signs of a wider sphere are also given priority because of the ripple effect produced by their lives.

- The leader's hunger level. GDI looks for leaders living in Radical Abandonment to God. A leader's willingness to sacrifice comforts, position, salary, and the approval of the comfortable is a good indicator that investment in them will be fruitful.

- God's guidance. God highlights specific relationships at specific times. This leading is often experienced by both parties as a heightened level of faith and a sense of God's strategic purpose and delight.Initiative

Sometimes intiative-taking on the part of GDI would be counterproductive. When God is challenging a leader to take responsibility, footing the bill for them only short-circuits God's process and extends the lesson unecessarily. God is often identying and weeding out self-pity, jealousy, unforgiveness, blame-shifting and a sense of entitlement in the leader's character during these times.

One of GDI's long term goals is to help leaders learn to do business with God in every situation. Helping leaders develop this habit is important to them finishing well and cooperating with God in his life-long leadership development process.

“Three Hills was a safe place for us: a place where we could be ourselves, and be vulnerable without fear that someone would be offended or reject us. I learned how to be me, rather than living to please others. I returned later for a women’s retreat, and was again wonderfully refreshed and encouraged. Each time we return home after visiting Three Hills we have been blessed and touched by God!”

“GDI is graced by God to provide strategic and incisive direction to leaders at critical decision points in an empathetic manner. Doug and his associates empower others to see the unseen, to embrace what is best, and to sharpen the focus of their lives.”

Keith Yoder, Teaching The Word Ministries

“The Lord used my time at Three Hills to pull together pieces from my past, where He has me now, and vision for the future, producing an incredible convergence of His plan and purpose for my life. The ministry at Three Hills is a powerful tool God is using to unleash His people.”
